New Years Day Wedding State Room Boston

Having photographed Amy’s two other sisters’ weddings, I knew we were in for a good day. They did not disappoint. It’s so nice working with people Who are genuinely happy and enjoy being with each other. It’s even better when both sides of the family are equally happy and come together so smoothly. With rain in the forecast, I was a bit worried we wouldn’t be able to get outside, but we couldn’t have asked for three better locations to photograph in Boston. Starting at the Liberty Hotel and being able to incorporate the old jail and interesting lighting made for some great imagery. Saint Leonards in the north end of Boston is one of my favorite churches to photograph at. The architecture and art on the walls are so beautifully done it makes our jobs very easy. Luckily the rain stops just in time for us to do some photography add Christopher Columbus Park with the Boston skyline. What better place to finish the evening than the State Room in Boston. Although it was a bit dark and overcast we were able to capture the fun everyone was genuinely having. As it was a January 1 wedding it would be easy for me to say that Jarred and Amy were my favorite couple of the year but I’m confident with 364 days ahead it will remain that way. It was a perfect combination of the documentary and photojournalist candids combined with the interesting portraiture they were looking for. I’m so glad I was able to be part of the day again.
