It makes my job a whole lot easier when a couple has a genuine love and affection for each other. Sebastian and Mary truly enjoyed being around each other and their love was palpable. We started the day photographing at the Hotel Salem. It is a very contemporary hotel, right in the heart of the city. With such a nice light to work with we were able to get some great imagery of them separately. The first look took place in the lobby where we were able to incorporate some of the interesting furniture. With a half a mile walk to the reception hall, most brides would have chosen to take a limo. They were not going to give up the opportunity to take advantage of the beautiful weather and walk with the entire bridal party. It made for a lot of fun photography. The rest of the day was spent at Hamilton Hall. It is such a unique space to have a wedding. Salem has a lot of history it is why I enjoy photographing there so much. All the details were so well thought out from all the place cards to the wedding cake. It is one of those weddings you feel more like a guest than you do a vendor. The entire day was filled with fun and laughter. It made our jobs very easy to document the day in the photojournalistic and fun portraiture they were anticipating. I’m so glad I was there to be their photographer
