Fall Wedding at Grand View
Having photographed Chris and Kristen’s engagement shoot, I knew we were in for a good day. They did not disappoint. What better way to welcome’s in a beautiful November than photographing a wedding at the phenomenal Grand View? No matter where we were the landscape was breaming with the fantastic colors that the New England Fall is famous for. We started the day by photographing the bride at her family home, and the groom getting ready in their house. It is nice to incorporate the personal touches of home. The ceremony took place over the water. The Justice of the Peace is in a lot of the ceremony shots. It was great to have Kristen’s brothers conduct the ceremony. They timed the day so we can do the formal photography and take advantage of the fall foliage and gorgeous stone structure that flanked the property to get some fun shots of the whole bridal party. We were able to get great light to work with during the Sunset right after the introductions and first dance. You know you are in for one amazing party whenever the reception is emceed by the always great to work with the staff at Grand View. You are never sure what kind of dance floor there might be a wedding. They tore it up from the first dance to the last. The rest of the evening was filled with fun, dance a laughter. It was the perfect combination of documentary, photojournalistic photography, and fun creative portraits. I am so glad I got to be part of their day.
