Even the rain could not hold back a great Zukas Hilltop Barn wedding
Anyone who has frequented weddings, maybe not as much as I have, has more than likely heard the old adage about rain being good luck for a wedding. I can’t say whether or not the weather can predict the course of a marriage, but after 15 years of photographing weddings I have come to the conclusion that it is good luck for photography. Now anyone who has read my blog may be shocked by this new about-face I have made when it comes to soggy, New England weather. As I have said in the past, weather is one of those annoying little things that the control obsessed photographer cannot control. I realized I needed to come up with a strategy to make the couple comfortable and confident about their wedding photography even when their wedding day is a wash out. The result is a wealth of ideas that can only be realized on days like the one Erick and Susie were married. So while the weather radar was predicting a large rain cloud over Zukas Hilltop Barn at the very moment Erick and Susie should have been exchanging their vows, I was planning my strategy. The results were some pretty amazing, creative, and unique images commemorating Erick and Susie’s truly special day.
