Dan and Jillian’s Wedding at Lake Pearl in Wrentham, MA
Wedding photography can be very unique from other fields of photography. You are not only a couple’s photographer; you are also at times their confidant, a personal assistant when needed, the historian for their most special day as a couple, and by the end of the day their new friend. It is always friends and family who reveal just how special two people are as a couple. It is a huge honor to stand up with someone on their wedding day. It is an even greater responsibility to find a few meaningful, amusing, yet brief, words to speak publicly about the story of how a couple came together. This is usually done in the form of the toasts during a reception. I have never been more entertained than I have been during the various memories, anecdotes, and well meaning roasts shared at many of my clients weddings. Dan and Jillian’s was no exception. Hearing the story of this couple as told by their maid of honor, best man, and Jillian’s father gave a glimpse into what an incredible pair they are and how well loved they are by their family and friends. That is why I felt privileged to be their wedding photographer. That and it was also a unique opportunity to incorporate a boat ride in the wedding photography, which is how the bridal party, families, and newly weds made their grand interest before the reception. The rest of the evening was a fun-filled party celebrating the marriage of two great people. And thanks to the impeccable timing of the Lake Pearl staff, we were able to escape from the evenings excitement just long enough to capture some amazing photography of Dan and Jillian by the lake just before sunset.
