Jim and Briana’s Wedding at the Jay Peak Resort in Jay, Vermont
Being a New England wedding photographer, I get to shoot in some really unique and beautiful locations. Many of these locations are thanks to Jim and Briana’s family. I first met Jim while photographing his brother, Tim’s wedding in Woodstock, VT. Last year, Jim’s sister, Maura, kept the tradition alive with her Waterville Vally wedding in New Hampshire. This year, it was Jim’s turn, and boy did he not disappoint. Jay’s Peak is affectionately referred to as the “top of Vermont.” It does not take long for one to realize how it came about this reputation. At 4000 feet in elevation, you are not only at one of the highest points in the state, but you are also able to easily see the spectacular Canadian landscape across the US/Canadian border. Thanks to Jim and Briana’s mountain top toast right after their gorgeous outdoor ceremony, we were able to capture this scenery, including a glimpse of the infamous Lake Champlain, in some truly iconic wedding photography. After our descent from the peak of the mountain, the amazing staff at Jay’s Peak Resort helped Jim and Briana celebrate with an incredible, high energy, and fun reception well into the night.
