Gavin and Kristen’s Wedding at White Cliffs Country Club in Plymouth, MA
Anything you do for nearly two decades can start to feel a little monotonous. While each and every one of the weddings I photograph are unique and I treat them that way, there is still the risk of things becoming too familiar. This is especially true being in a creative field like wedding photography. So when I arrived to start shooting Gavin and Kristen’s White Cliffs Country Club wedding, I was excited to find out I would be shooting my first traditional Scottish wedding. Gavin, whose family is from Scotland, wanted to incorporate his heritage into the day. All of the men in his immediate family, his groomsmen, and even some guests decided against wearing the more common tuxedo and sported customary Scottish kilts and all of its regalia. Interestingly, a thick fog had settled into the Plymouth area that day. Along with the breathtaking seaside cliffs of White Cliffs Country Club, it felt almost as though we had been transported to the homeland. The results are some exceptional wedding photos that Gavin and Kristen will have to remember their truly special day for the many years to come.
