The Elks at Bass Rocks in Beautiful Gloucester, MA
There is a delicate balance a creative wedding professional must maintain between experience and inspiration. Being familiar with where you are shooting, be it venue or location, can be comforting for the client as you work seemlessly in familiar surroundings. Shooting somewhere new can really inspire creativity, but can also be limiting if you are experiencing it with the client for the first time. How does one strike a balance without compromising creativity or comfort and confidence? The answer is simple…shoot plenty of weddings at the Eks at Bass Rocks in Gloucester, MA. No matter how many times you work among the breathtaking beauty of this place, you will never want for inspiration. That is why I was so fortunate to have photographed Chris and Arianna’s wedding. Not only did they get married to the back drop of this gorgeous landscape, but they were thrilled to explore just how much this place has to offer. And you can not discredit the value of an adventurous couple like these two. Because everything was scheduled to take place in Gloucester, no further than a stone’s throw from the reception hall, we had plenty of opportunities, from getting ready all the way to the last dance, to take full advantage of the vast skies, unique beaches, and awe-inspiring view of the Atlantic Ocean. I can only take partial credit for the beautiful images we captured, as mother nature is to thank for the rest.
