Hawthorne Hotel in Salem, MA wedding photography
If you have never been to Salem, MA, it’s reputation and rich history certainly precedes it. And based on its reputation alone, one would not assume this city in October would not necessarily be the first choice to host a traditional Catholic wedding. If this is the impression you have of this notorious New England location, Brian and Angela’s wedding would be the perfect wedding to prove you wrong. Brian and Angela selected this beautiful, eclectic town based on the fact that Angela’s family is originally from Salem. They could not have done a better job selecting the best locations to celebrate the towns rich and beautiful history. The evening started with both bride and groom getting ready in the pristinely preserved Hawthorne hotel, which just so happens to be my favorite location to shoot in Salem. From there, they traveled separately to the awe inspiring Church of the Immaculate Conception, which is also in the heart of historic Salem, where Brian and Angela exchanged their vows among the gorgeous gothic architecture of this amazing work of art. From there, we braved the dropping temperatures to capture some truly unique images of bride, groom, and wedding party on the water. I could not have asked for a better group of people to work with to create the wedding photography Brian and Angela had hoped for.
