Eric and Katelyn’s Wedding at the Beauport Hotel in Gloucester, MA
In the days leading up to Eric and Katelyn’s Beauport Hotel wedding, the weather forecast was not on our side. It was pretty much a guarantee there would be rain to contend with, but I held onto hope it would hold off long enough for us to take advantage of the beautiful scenery unique to Gloucester, MA. It was touch and go all day; however, as the time approached for Eric and Katelyn’s first look to take place at Stage Fort Park, the rain continued to delay its arrival. It was extraordinary luck that we did not have a single rain drop fall the entire time we were there, allowing us the opportunity to capture the family formal photography, group shots with the bridal party, and plenty of time to create some beautiful, artistic imagery of just Eric and Katelyn. It is no exaggeration to say that this was a stroke of extraordinary luck. Shortly after leaving the park and in the minutes before the ceremony, the clouds began to build and it became very clear to everyone that Eric and Katelyn’s wedding would be quickly moved inside. Just as the bride took her place at the end of the aisle, the skies opened up and there would be torrential downpours for the rest of the night. But the rain could not dampen the spirits of this amazing couple, or the incredible friends and family that came to share in the joyous occasion. And while everyone was able to stay dry for the most part during the exchange of rings and vows, there was hardly a dry eye in the crowd. Even with the uncooperative weather, the entire day went off without a hitch all thanks to the incredible staff at the Beauport Hotel. Were it not for their help and attentiveness, I would not have been able to get the creative night shots of the couple one can only get on rainy evenings like this. Perhaps it is true what they say about good luck and rain on your wedding day.
