Cruiseport Wedding in Gloucester, MA
I met Joe and Jaclyn while shooting their engagement photography and we hit it off immediately. These two make one cool couple. So, I knew they were going to have one cool wedding. I started the day off with Jaclyn at her parents house, where we captured some great shots of her getting ready. The ceremony took place at Saint Athanasius in Reading, MA, where I was pleasantly surprised by the availability of some beautiful ambient light. After the ceremony, we traveled to one of my all time favorite locations in Massachusetts: Bass Rocks located on the immaculate shore line of Gloucester. No matter how many times I shoot here, I never get bored. If you’ve been there you know what I mean. If you haven’t, you don’t know what you are missing. But no matter how beautiful the scenery, I simply cannot capture the full impact of this backdrop if I don’t have the right couple. To be more specific, if I don’t have the right bride. Did I mention how cool this couple was? Let’s just say they were the epitome of the perfect couple to photograph at this location. I think Jaclyn would have scaled a wall for her wedding photography, which she practically did navigating this rocky shore of Gloucester. And I am so glad she did. After working up a sweat during the formal photography, it was on to Cruiseport Gloucester, where the staff really knows how to combine fun and elegance in the most perfect way possible. And who better to Emcee such a party than the very fun, very entertaining DJ Jimmy of 617 Weddings.
